What do you mean by marketing?

Simply put, marketing is whatever you say or do to get customers and prospects to listen and to buy from you. It includes everything from advertising to after-sale service. Essentially it’s what brings customers into the business.

 

Why did you develop your coaching program?

In most businesses marketing does not receive the attention it deserves.

There are several reasons for this:

Most entrepreneurs never learn how to effectively attract customers, let alone nurture prospects until they are ready to buy. They tend to rely on making cold calls or sporadically undertaking marketing initiatives. Neither technique produces sufficient results.

Business ownerstypically face a wide range of issues and responsibilities. Inevitably, this means focusing on primary skills such as personal selling or accounting or particular technical competence and capabilities. Other important areas, such as marketing, are increasingly neglected.

To increase the effectiveness of marketing, business owners must find more efficient ways to acquire new prospects. This is why we designed the program to help entrepreneurs learn how to get new customers while at the same getting more business from their existing clients.

 

What are the goals of the program?  

Specifically, the goals of this program are:

  • to help entrepreneurs develop the mind set to become more effective marketers;
  • to give entrepreneurs the tools they need to become more effective marketers;
  • to give entrepreneurs the knowledge and skills to more effectively direct either or both marketing suppliers and employees in order to achieve the results they seek;
  • to help entrepreneurs discover and profit from hidden or unused resources and
  • to enable groups of likeminded business owners to mastermind with one another around business growth.

 

How is the program delivered?

The entire program is composed of five inter-related components.

Four One-day Group Coaching Meetings.These workshop sessions are held quarterly, ensuring time to internalize and apply the strategy before the next strategy is coming at them.
This drip feed process makes sure that participants do not get overwhelmed by the torrent of information coming at them.. Several elements comprise the learning model for these sessions: concept or new idea, which is input from the coach; real- life example of how the concept works in practice; practical application in which participants discuss how the concept applies to their businesses; group discussion in which participants discuss their insights and observations; and where appropriate Strategy ROI , in which participants calculate the returns they can expect from implementing the strategy.

Workbooks contain in-class exercises and other material that will be discussed during the sessions. These workbooks take participants through the process from conceptualization to implementation and help participants apply what they have learned.

The More Business For Your Business marketing reference manual covers the content for the entire program and enables participants to read more about each topic as it is presented. It also allows them to move ahead if they want to.

Follow-up Support. Each month, each participant receives one-on-one coaching specific to their need.

Mastermind Group. The other form of support is peer support from other participants in the group. This takes place in the classroom and outside of class via the on line forum and resource centre, set up for this purpose.

 

What is the difference between your coaching and conventional training?

Coaching is an interactive training process. It draws on the combined experience of leader and participants. Communications flow three ways: from leader to participants; from individual participants the rest of the group and between individual participants on a one-to-one basis. Not only do you interact with other members of the group, during the session, you are encouraged to talk outside the sessions.

Training is communication that flows primarily from leader to participants.

 

Can I fast-track the program?

Yes. If you don’t have the time to take the 4-session program, you can complete the program on an individual basis with one-on-one coaching.
